The training vehicle for the category C licence (rigid) is a Scania 18ton gvw box van.

It is 10.5 metres long (34ft), 3.64 metres (11ft 10ins) in height and 2.45 metres wide.

The gearbox has eight forward gears: 4 in low ratio and 4 in high, more commonly known as a 4 over 4 or range- change.

It is a very comfortable vehicle to drive and is representative of what you will be driving when you pass your test.

Additional features would include road friendly suspension(RFS), ABS, cruise control, retarder and air conditioning.
